Electrical Product Manager – Hatfield, Herts (Office-Based)
Our well-established company, a leading manufacturer of electrical and electronic products, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with commercial experience in electrical product management.
Important: Candidates must have a solid understanding of Ohm’s Law to be considered.
This is a full-time, permanent, office-based role in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities
Product Portfolio & Supplier Management
- Continually review the company’s product portfolio to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Research and propose new or replacement products to enhance market positioning.
- Manage new product introductions, overseeing all aspects of cost-effective market delivery.
- Liaise with the QA Manager to ensure all necessary product approvals are obtained.
- Maintain excellent supplier relationships and take ownership of technical, service, or commercial issues.
P&L Responsibility
- Identify cost reduction opportunities at both headline and order levels to maximize gross margins.
- Regularly review the product portfolio to support profitability and business growth.
Inventory Management
- Analyze product usage and forecasts to optimize inventory levels, supporting growth while minimizing risk.
- Monitor slow-moving or redundant stock and implement cost-effective disposal strategies.
Sales & Marketing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Provide timely technical and commercial support to both customers and colleagues.
- Attend customer meetings and provide product training as required.
- Ensure marketing materials and online presence are of high quality, supporting company strategy.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Electrical Engineer with commercial experience in product management.
- Solid understanding of Ohm’s Law.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Able to commute easily to Hatfield, Herts.
